Toto Continues To Surprise Me...

Earlier today, Mom made rice pudding. As, her mother made it years ago, Mom makes rice pudding using rice and coconuts. Back in the day, actual coconuts would be used for the juice and meat. And, the shells would be boiled in water to color the rice pudding. It would have been a fairly labor-intensive operation. For today's rice pudding, we would be partaking of modern conveniences such as canned coconut, but, Mom insists on using at least one actual coconut in her rice pudding. While I was breaking open the one coconut we would be using for our rice pudding, I noticed that Toto seemed to take an unusual interest in the coconut meat. I gave him just a tiny smidgen of the coconut meat and he gobbled it up. And, soon afterwards, he was standing up on his hind legs with his paws on the kitchen table, looking for more coconut meat. We've been seeing Sam regularly, but, being the lazy bum I've been lately, I have not been reporting in as often as I should. Here are a handful of pictures that I've had on hand for a while. The first picture shows Amanda and Christina. Christina is really, really good at Dominoes, so, we spent most of our visit playing Dominoes and catching up on family gossip. The upcoming Supreme Court hearing came up during the visit with Christina and Sam was looking forward to a positive outcome sometime. Overall, it was a good visit. The second picture shows Anthony. We spent most of the time getting caught up on family gossip. During the course of discussion, Sam advised again that there might be some good news coming from the Supreme Court next year.
