Another Birthday Came And Went...

Image
Another birthday has come and hone. I spent the birthday week being a lazy bum and scored a new leather bag for my stuff. For dinner, Mom made pasta with a white sauce and garlic bread. This year's cake was a homemade yellow cake with a cream cheese frosting and a layer of blackberry infused cream between the two yellow cake layers. Earlier, I also treated myself to a  Denki-Gai  DVD and the DVD release of  Knights of Sidonia . Here I am sporting my Ai Yori Aoshi t-shirt. I'm not really a fan of the series, but, it is hard to find anime-themed t-shirts in my size. So, I'll usually take what I can get, within reason, of course.

After Toto reclaimed his spot in the bathroom window, the siege was pretty much over. Fortunately, Chris was already settling in very nicely. So, I moved Chris' cat box to the laundry room and her food to the kitchen. Later in the day, tuna was served. Toto already didn't care about Chris, so he dove straight in. Chris really, really wanted tuna, so, she stepped up to the plate. Daisy was a bit more timid, but, couldn't resist the siren call of tuna and found a spot between Toto and Chris. All sins forgiven -- at least for now.

Welcome To Chris...

Over the weekend, Mom decided to get a new companion kitty. Enter Chris -- a 3 year-old midget of a kitty (Chris is only about half the size of Daisy and Toto) who bears an uncanny resemblance to Charlie. Charlie had a bit more white on his chest and belly. I set up a safe spot for Chris to hangout in the upstairs hallway. Needless to say, Daisy and Toto were not happy with the intruder. Chris is very friendly and outgoing with people, but, with kitties, despite her diminutive size, Chris is no kitty pushover. Daisy and Toto hissed at Chris and she gave the hiss right back to them. Daisy tried to block access to the upstairs, but, Chris just ignored Daisy. Toto didn't want any part of Chris. He moved to the laundry room and decided to settle into a nest on top of the dryer. I let Toto mope for a little bit, but, after he refused to eat or drink for a while, I lured him out of the laundry room with cat snacks and a nice grooming session. After a couple of days with Chris in the hous...
