New Gear...

Last Christmas, I scored a printer. It took a while, but, I finally decided to start using my new printer. As a replacement for my PC printer, I'm not really feeling that I should replace my existing printer, yet. But, as a stand-alone photo printer, this has been a real hit. So far, the cost per print has been fairly competative, but, it remains to be seen if this new printer will hold up over the long haul.

Since I allowed my previous phone to run out of minutes and it suddenly and rather inconveniently decided to stop being useful, I decided to take the opportunity to get a new phone. I wanted one with a camera and this little touch-screen model whispered "Take Me Home", so, I did. I had to make a side trip to Radio Shack to pick up a data cable -- apparently AT&T's service center isn't as full-featured as one would like -- they don't carry data cables.

The kitties were not pleased with my new gear, but, they were very pleased with the box it came in. Also, while you're admiring the box, please note that these are the first pictures from my new phone. Last Christmas, I scored a new printer, but, I wasn't really finished with my existing printer. But, at last, I realized that the new printer could be used without a computer. I picked up some photo paper and began printing pictures of our recent family expeditions. The cost per print really depends on how many pictures I can print from one ink cartridge. So far, the costs per print are only a fraction of what I would expect to pay at Wal-Mart. It remains to be seen if the long-term costs are going to remain competitive.
